Reports To: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager
Salary: £13 per hour

Overall Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Coil Winding Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate winding and assembly of coils to required specifications and quality standards, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Wind coils to detailed technical specifications and production drawings.
• Set up, operate, and monitor coil winding machinery and associated equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and job sheets.
• Carry out soldering, insulating, taping, and assembling of components where required.
• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify faults or defects and report issues promptly to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with general production duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous coil winding experience is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Experience working with small components and fine wire is desirable.
• Basic understanding of electrical or electronic assembly processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management skills and ability to meet production targets.
